Promote Your YouTube Video

YouTube is owned by Google and is the second most viewed site on the entire internet.  You should make the very most out of your uploaded videos by implementing some good strategies.

How to promote your YouTube video?

Your  Video’s Title and Description:

If you want your video to be found, it’s important that you create an SEO-optimized title, using good keywords.  You should also give great thought to your SEO description.  You do not want to “stuff” your description with keywords, just include main keywords that draw interest.

If you have a blog or a website, you should include the link in the description that directs back to your site.  If you are on social media channels, you can also incorporate these links as well within your description.

Make sure your main link is always above the Show More section.  Most people will not have an interested in clicking on Show More but will click on your main link.

Maximizing Your Tags:

Tags are your keywords and are critical in order for your video to be found.  After a few weeks, check out your video in order to find out how well it is being viewed.  If activity is slow, change out some of your  tags and see what happens.  When using long tail keywords, always make sure they are within quotes.  This will get searchers to include the entire phrase within their searches, instead of single words.

Example:  “hand-made leather dog collars”
